My name is Gill, I'm an artist and illustrator, and I work from my home in Kent, surrounded by pens, paper and ink, and all the tools I need to produce my lighting products,
All my designs begin life as drawings or sketches which I then adapt with the help of Photoshop to add more detail and colour and then re-size for a lampshade, table lamp or lantern. My work is inspired by animals, nature and the British landscape and I use both bright colours and ones that reflect nature. I try to make my illustrations tell a story and in doing so, add charm and character to a home. The lampshades and table lamps are designed for use in any room and my lanterns are popular for summer nights and winter evenings as well as Christmas.
